Whether you’re a fan of snow sports or prefer to relax on the beach, there are so many amazing destinations to choose from. Start researching the best winter vacation spots now so you can book the perfect getaway for when the colder months roll around.
Crusty/Cracked Feet?:
Please you can’t have that with new sandals you just bought. Put that phone down – no need to make a salon appointment for this one. Have a raw potato handy? Cut that sucker in half and coat it in some coarse sea salt. Scrub it on the bottoms and sides of your foot – BOOM an instant exfoliator.
Keep Hair Color From Fading With Vinegar:
Seriously, no matter what your hair color is, this summer hack will help keep your color radiant. Salt water and the blazing sun can dull your color. Apple cider vinegar will brighten it back up! Just pour ½ cup in a spray bottle and spritz it throughout your hair. Leave it on for about 10 minutes, and rinse it out. Use this beauty trick anytime you’re going to spending some time outside – your hair and wallet will thank you for it!
Repair Dry Hair with Avocado:
Sun, saltwater and chlorine can seriously dry and damage your hair, especially during the hot summer days. If a day at the beach leaves you with straw-like strands, whip up this DIY moisturizing cap to save your luscious locks from heat stroke! Mix one ripe avocado, one egg, one tablespoon of honey, and one tablespoon of coconut oil in a blender, or whatever you have handy – it just needs to be thoroughly mixed together. Then apply it mid-way down to the ends of your hair, then cover your head in a shower cap. Leave in for 20 minutes, and rinse!
Switch Your Foundation to a BB Cream:
When temps heat up, skip the heavy foundation, and try a BB or CC cream. They act as tinted moisturizers, so you’ll still get some coverage, but they won’t run off your face as you start to sweat. Also, this beauty hack will help your pores not feel so clogged. Use a BB cream if you want to hide skin demons, such as pimples, and use a CC cream if you’re looking for more coloring correcting, like redness.
Use Dry Shampoo At Night:
Dry shampoo is a girl’s best tag team partner year-round, but during the summer, it’s actually better when you don’t apply it in the morning. Spray your roots with dry shampoo at night to let the product absorb oil (and sweat) throughout the night.
Self-Tanner Mishap:
Yeesh! Got self-tanner stains in all the wrong places? Squeeze some lemon juice into a few, probably three, tablespoons of baking soda until a thick paste forms. Massage the paste into skin and leave it on for five to ten minutes. Lemon juice lightens self tanner mishaps, while the baking soda is an awesome exfoliator. P.S. This mixture is also a great summertime acne treatment! How could you seriously not get an any better summer hack?!
Yikes, Sunburn:
As much as we try to prevent sunburn from happening, there are just some days when we miss a spot while putting it on, or we completely forget it all together. Aloe vera is one of the best ways to soothe burnt skin, but chilled aloe vera is even better. Fill up an ice cube tray with aloe vera gel and keep it in your freezer all summer long, then pop out a cube or two when you need some extra relief. It will immediately help to soothe your ailing skin.
